MUMMIFICATION TRAINING

This is a full 16 hours of training over the period of time necessary for a full and complete Mummification.  Four sessions of four hours each are required to best allow for the understanding and success of the work....
NO ONE ELSE TEACHES MUMMIFICATION.  This is NOT the HISTORY of Mummification, this is TRAINING IN THE ACTUAL PROCESS OF MUMMIFICATION BY SORCERESS CAGLIASTRO

In this Training, students will meet four times, for four hours each session.  There are a full 16 hours of training.  The entire process takes approximately 92 days which the data shows is the average time the process requires in order to be fully successful on smaller animals. 

The sessions will occur in my studio in Brooklyn New York.  This neighborhood is filled with opportunities for enjoyment, and fully accessible to trains and buses, therefore making access to Manhattan just a short train ride....
Regarding the materials, we will be utilizing animals who were prepared for the pet feed industry, so no animals will be “sacrificed” for this work.  You will be provided with the materials in the layers and timing that is necessary to complete the process...  Desiccation time (drying out of moisture) is necessary and for this process to maintain its integrity, as we will not be utilizing any artificial drying such as machines or dehumidifiers. This pacing is necessary to allow the student to fully understand the process over the time it requires.

Mummification requires scents. Esteemed Perfumer Darren Alan White (see bio below) will be providing the scents we will be utilizing in the process.  He will also be there when scents are introduced to educate us about the choice of scent elements which will aid in the preservation/desiccation process, as well as in the process of creating a buffer between the dis-pleasurable experience of the scent of decomposition and the Mummifier.  Scents are important; indeed they are imperative to the process of Mummification.

Students will be utilizing Egyptian traditional wrappings in this process, and will learn to create, design and ornament them appropriately, including talisman placement amongst the wrappings. Registered students will receive additional information regarding the opportunity to place personal objects within the wrappings for the purpose of allowing the student to complete any lingering grieving processes.

This process occurs over approximately 92 days, as that is the necessary length of the process to fully create a mummified individual of the size and type we will utilize in this process.... If you are not a resident of NY, I suggest one of the many Airbnb’s nearby if you choose to enjoy the area for extra days. 

The studio space will allow for students to process the materials, and will have the appropriate reverence and mood for the work at hand.  Mummification is both clinical and emotional.  It requires a reverence for the animal, and a respect of the self.  We will work together to ALLOW for and to CREATE the appropriate intention to match the appropriateness of the environment.
The final date will conclude with a ceremony/ritual to demonstrate the methods that would be used to lay the Mummy into its final resting place. 
Boxes will be provided for students to leave with their mummies.

The cost of the FULL TRAINING is $900, and there is a $45 materials fee which is brought to the first session.

OPTION ONE
        Payment in full, $900 reserves and guarantees your seat
OPTION TWO
​       $500 down and $400 by JANUARY 18th. This payment reserves your seat. The remaining $400 payment must be received            by JANUARY 18th, or your spot will be given to someone on the waiting list and the $500 is non refundable.
​OPTION THREE
      $200 down holds your seat for 14 days. Two additional payments of $350 are scheduled within 45 days of the payment of             the initial $200. All funds must be paid by JANUARY 18th or seats will be given to someone on the waiting list and deposits         will not be refunded. ​

**Darren Alan White is a Master Perfumer trained in the art of classical perfume making in the French hand blended tradition. One of his fields of specialty in perfumery is the research & recreating of historical fragrances. Darren is also a student of Blood Sorcery, studying under the tutelage of the SORCERESS CAGLIASTRO for several years. He is sensitive to the nuance & role that scent plays in the execution of Sorcery, as well as maintaining an interest & body of research on the plant materials, oils & resins used by the ancient Egyptians during their embalming process and funeral rites.
